AIRTECH offers Laminar Flow equipment constructed by using industrial block boards with exterior surface covered by decorative laminated sheets & inner surface coated with synthetic rubber paint. Air tight joints are ensured by using best quality adhesives. HEPA filters made of micro clean glass fibre paper of imported origin with fine corrugated aluminium foil separators. Pressure drop will be 23 mm WG. Pre & filters are manufactured by using synthetic non woven polyester fabric material with HDPE mesh reinforcement on both sides. Both the filters are protected by suitable grill arrangement. Blower assembly consists of a single phase,double shaft motor, directly coupled with a pair of centrifugal type aluminium impeller & enclosed within a specially designed MS casing. Optional accessories includes Stainless steel work table in lieu of Laminated table, UV lamps, Clear acrylic front doors, Standard accessories includes power points, Pressure manometer castor wheels or leveling screws, illumination, side screens etc. Horizontal flow model with bottom stand arrangement. Airtech Class I Biosafety Cabinet is designed for operator and environment protection from materials hazardous for operator's health. The operation is based on the forced removal of hazardous substances from the working zone through the air up-flow, with high-effective air filtration and its exhaust into the environment. Working with 2 agents, there is no risk of their cross-contamination owing to unidirectional (laminar) air up-stream.
Although the Class I cabinet protects the operator and the environment from exposure to biohazards, it does not prevent samples being handled in the cabinet from coming into contact with airborne contaminants that may be present in room air.
All Class I biological safety cabinets are suitable for work with microbiological agents assigned to biosafety levels 1, 2 and 3.
TopClass II Biosafety cabinet - Type A2
Airtech Class II Biosafety Cabinet Type A1 & A2 are designed for the security and protection of operator's product and environment from pathogenic agents and microorganisms transmitted in respiratory way and also for creation of a bacterial dust free air environment. It has a common plenum from which 30% of air is exhausted, and 70% re-circulated to the work area as part of the downflow. Type A cabinets drain out air directly back to the laboratory, and they may contain positive pressure contaminated plenums. When toxic chemicals must be employed as an adjunct to microbiological processes, these cabinets should not be used. Exhaust HEPA filtration only.
Removes airborne aerosols including biohazards, and not chemical fumes.
The Class II Type A1 consists of the positively-pressurized contaminated plenum bordering the ambient environment, and therefore is less safer than the Class II Type A2 that has a negative pressure surrounding the positively pressurized contaminated plenum. In any unlikely event of a leakage on the positive plenum, the leaking aerosol will be pulled by the negative pressure back to the positive plenum, which prevents it from leaking out. On the grounds of safety, the Type A1 design is now considered obsolete. In the A2 cabinet, approximately 70% of air from the positive plenum is re-circulated as downflow.
TopClass II Biosafety cabinet - Type B1
Airtech Class II Type B1 biological safety cabinet has a common plenum from which 70% of air is exhausted, and 30% re-circulated to the work area as the downflow.
Type B1 cabinets also have a dedicated exhaust feature that eliminates re-circulation when work is performed towards the back within the interior of the cabinet. Toxic chemicals employed as an adjunct to microbiological processes should only be employed if they do not interfere with work when re-circulated in the downflow.
Class II Biosafety cabinet - Type B2
Airtech Class II Type B2 cabinet all inflow and downflow air is exhausted after HEPA filtration to the external environment without recirculation within the cabinet. Type B2 cabinets are suitable for work with toxic chemicals employed as an adjunct to microbiological processes under all circumstances since no re-circulation occurs. In theory, Type B2 cabinets may be considered to be the safest of all Class II biological safety cabinets since the total exhaust feature acts as a fail-safe in the event that the downflow and / or exhaust HEPA filtration systems cease to function normally. However, Class II Type B2 cabinets are, in practice,difficult to install, balance and maintain.
Class III Bio Safety Cabinet
Airtech Class III biological safety cabinet provides an absolute level of safety, which cannot be attained with Class I and Class II cabinets. All Class III cabinets are usually of welded metal construction and are designed to be gas tight.
Work is performed through glove ports in the front of the cabinet. During routine operation, negative pressure relative to the ambient environment is maintained within the cabinet. This provides an additional fail-safe mechanism in case physical containment is compromised. On all Class III cabinets, a supply of HEPA filtered air provides product protection and prevents cross contamination of samples. Exhaust air is usually HEPA filtered and incinerated.
Alternatively, double HEPA filtration with two filters in series may be utilized. Materials are transferred into the cabinet using a pass-through unit installed at the side of the work area. Class III cabinets usually exhaust air back to the laboratory; however, air may also be exhausted via a dedicated ductwork system to the external environment. When a dedicated ductwork system is employed, they are also suitable for work employing toxic chemicals as an adjunct to microbiological processes. All Class III biological safety cabinets are suitable for work with microbiological agents assigned to biosafety levels 1, 2, 3 and 4. They are frequently specified for work involving the most lethal biological hazards.

AIRTECH offers a wide range of FUME EXHAUST HODDS to suit every specific application of the user. The hood is fabricated from; water proof commercial quality ply & block boards externally covered with industrial laminated sheets and interiors coated with epoxy paint over a suitable primer base . The inner walls of the working chamber is covered with epoxy coated asbestos or FRP or HDPE lining or as required. The working table is made of acid proof glazed tiles and provided with gas/air petcocks and additional power points, diffused fluorescent tubes.
The front shutter is of shatter proof clear glass, framed in suitable wooden structure with vertically sliding facility and is connected with counter weight balancing arrangement.
The exhaust system consists of a dynamically balanced centrifugal impeller, made; of PVC/FRP, directly coupled with a TEFC industrial motor of 1440 RPM phase 415 and control led by a DOL starter with systems ranges from 500 CFM to 1250 CFM or above as it is proportional to the dimensions of the hood.

Powder Containment booths are used to control the hazardous emissions of powder dust during powder dispensing/sampling processes with out any risk to the operator and product as well protecting the environment. The down draught of HEPA filtered air prevents airborne dusts caused by handling operation away from the operator breathing zone. The air forced downwards is extracted at low level into the booth's filteration system, where dust particles are contained at three level of filteration prior to being circulated back in to the booths air stream.

Positive Pressure Module
Positive pressure modules are designed to provide a clean area within a small enclosure or cell. These pressure module adopts the same LAMINAR AIR FLOW principle. Pre filters are fixed at the rear end of the unit and the blower assembly used in the system sucks the air & passes to the HEPA filter chamber where the air is filtered to the maximum level.
